The Magnifico Set of Five is a special project made by Benelli International, consisting of a unique set of semiautomatic shotguns.
Composizione
Il Magnifico Set of Five è un set di fucili fini realizzato interamente in Italia da Benelli: il primo dei suoi cinquant’anni di storia, l’unico dei prossimi cento.
Il set si compone di cinque fucili semiautomatici, due in calibro 12, due in calibro 20 e uno in calibro 28 e ripropone la struttura della famiglia, con il calibro 12 a rappresentare il padre, il 20 la madre e il più piccolo calibro 28 destinato al figlio.
Composition
The Magnifico Set of Five is a set of shotguns made entirely in Italy by Benelli: the first in its fifty years of history, and the only one in the next hundred.
The set consists of five semiautomatic shotguns-two 12 gauge, two 20 gauge, and one 28 gauge- and it reflects the structure of a family: the 12 gauge represents the father, the 20 the mother, and the smallest gauge 28, the child.
Materiali e tecnica
I componenti dei cinque fucili del set presentano la marcatura con le ultime due cifre del numero di matricola dell’arma.
Calciatura
Realizzata con il più nobile legno di noce, la calciatura è lavorata a mano con finitura a olio applicata da maestri di fucili fini, a cui si deve anche l’incassatura dei legni. Il calciolo è realizzato in corno di bufalo
Carcassa
La carcasa è scolpita a mano, sulla base della più prestigiosa serie Benelli, l’Executive, in acciaio inox a funzionamento inerziale.
Meccanica
In acciaio e di derivazione Benelli, la meccanica è stata modificata e rifinita a mano, per garantire la perfezione degli accoppiamenti. Il sistema inerziale Benelli è la massima expressione al mondo del fucile semiautomatico, garanzia di assoluta eccellenza. Alcuni componenti, quali tubo serbatoio
Calibro 12, lato sinistro
Sulla vegetazione lagunare, germani in slancio verso il cielo si involano all’orizzonte. La spiccata dinamicità dell’azione nulla toglie all’equilibrio compositivo dell’incisione.
Materials and technique
The components of the five shotguns in the set are marked with the last two digits of the serial number of the firearm.
Stock
Made with the very finest walnut, the sock is worked by hand, with an oil finish applied by master craftsmen of fine shotguns, who are also responsible for mounting the wood. The recoil pad is made in buffalo horn.
Receiver
The receiver is carved by hand in stainless steel with Inertia system, using the most prestigious model in the Benelli range - the Executive - as a base.
Mechanics
The steel mechanics, originated in Benelli, have been modified and finished by hand to guarantee perfect couplings. The Benelli Inertia system is the world’s very best expression of the semiautomatic shotgun, and a guarantee of absolute excellence. Some parts, such as the magazine tube and the recoil spring tube, are made in aluminium.

Le incisioni sono interamente tracciate e realizzate a mano e presentano soggetti dedicati a ogni calibro.
Un cielo in oro giallo è tratto caratteristico della poetica figurativa del set, che esalta le scene rappresentate, donandogli uno stile prezioso e unico.
Ogni fucile presenta un motivo di foglie e ghiande di quercia, che incornicia mirabilmente le scene venatorie raffigurate.
La decorazione è stata realizzata con castoni in oro rosa a rilievo per le ghiande e, insieme al cielo dorato, conferisce alle incisioni del ser una struttura unitaria.
L’iconografia dell’ornamento si ispira al tema della Roverella presente nel tavolo da campo del Duca Federico da Montefeltro, signore di Urbino nel Rinascimento, che coniugava in sé la figura del grande condottiero con quella dell’illuminato uomo di cultura.
Engravings
The engravings are entirely marked and created by hand, and each gauge has its own dedicated subject.
A yellow gold sky is a characteristic feature of the set’s figurative poetics, enhancing the scenes portrayed by adding a precious, unique style.
Every shotgun is decorated with hunting scenes, each one beautifully framed by a motif of oak leaves and acorns.
The decoration uses embossed rose gold settings for the acorns and together with the golden sky, this gives a unifying structure to the engravings in the set.
The decorative iconography is inspired by the theme of the Downy Oak used on the field table of Duke Federico da Montefeltro, the Renaissance lord of Urbina, who embodied the figure of the great condottiero together with that of the enlightened man of culture.
